The job
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Specialist to manage and coordinate procurement activities under the guidance of the Project Management Team. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for reviewing bidding documents and contracts, coordinating procurement-related matters, and communicating and following up with DABS on project documents and related requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review bidding documents, contracts, BOQs, and procurement requirements, and identify any gaps or clarifications required.
- Prepare, coordinate, and submit bids, quotations, proposals, and other tender documents in compliance with bidding requirements.
- Review technical and commercial documents to ensure compliance with tender and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate and follow up procurement documents, clarifications, approvals, and contracts with DABS and relevant departments.
- Monitor tender deadlines, contract milestones, submissions, invoices, BGs, retentions, and other key contractual requirements.
- Maintain updated tracking sheets and organized records of all procurement and project-related documents.
- Coordinate with technical, finance, and project teams to resolve procurement and contract-related issues.
- Supplier identification, evaluation, and coordination
- Provide regular procurement updates and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Perform other procurement and contract-related duties assigned by the Project Management Team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, economics, finance or administration.
At least 3 years of relevant experiences in procurement, finance or administration.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Fluency in spoken Dari and Pashtu is required; knowledge of English languages is a plus
