Sales Officer

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Officer to manage our B2B commercial sales portfolio. The successful candidate will navigate the local construction materials market, secure high-volume sales orders from distributors and construction projects, manage contract negotiations, and cultivate strong commercial relationships. This role is fully based in Mazar-e-Sharif with regular field travel across the Balkh province and surrounding northern regions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• B2B Client Management: Identify and secure new business opportunities with steel wholesalers, local construction contractors, hardware distributors, and infrastructure projects.
• Target Achievement: Actively drive sales volumes to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly factory distribution targets.
• Pipeline & Deal Negotiation: Prepare formal product quotes, lead commercial negotiations on bulk volume pricing, and successfully close sales agreements in line with factory policies.
• Account Recovery & Cash Collection: Follow up diligently on delivered pipelines, coordinate closely with the factory logistics and finance departments, and manage timely balance collections from dealers.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct regular market assessments to monitor competitor steel pricing, scrap metal supply trends, and regional construction demands.

Reporting: Prepare structured daily sales activity logs, tracking reports, and customer feedback summaries for the Sales Manager

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA), Marketing, Economics, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 to 8 years of proven sales experience. Direct experience in the construction materials, steel manufacturing, hardware distribution, or heavy industrial sectors is an extreme advantage.
• Language Fluency: Mastery of Dari and Pashto is mandatory for local market negotiations. Competency in English is strongly preferred for internal reporting and software handling.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel (for tracking sales volumes, pricing, and client accounts).

Competencies: Outstanding face-to-face negotiation skills, strong resilience, ability to perform well under target pressures, and highly familiar with the business geography of Mazar-e-Sharif and neighboring northern markets
