Bachelor’s in social sciences, rural development, economics, or any other related discipline. Master’s degree or Project Management certification (e.g., PMP/PRINCE2) is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in community mobilization, facilitating dialogues. Experience in building the capacity of women and family members, conducting dialogues with communities, capacity to conduct conflict management, negotiation skills, and family-level psychosocial support activities.

The job

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Social Mobilizer to engage with communities, promote awareness, and facilitate participation in our programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building trust within communities, identifying needs, and encouraging community members to actively participate in development activities and services.

Requirements

  • Conduct community outreach to identify and engage target populations.
  • Facilitate communication between program staff and community members.
  • Promote awareness of program objectives, services, and benefits.
  • Organize and lead community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
  • Gather feedback from community members regarding their needs and concerns.
  • Assist in mobilizing community participation in project activities and events.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with local leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and address barriers to participation and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Maintain accurate records of community activities, attendance, and feedback.
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities by collecting relevant data.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and ethical standards.
  • Provide weekly and monthly report to executive director.
  • Any other tasks assigned to him by senior management.
